Yelp Reviews

You know when a lover has done you wrong, and all you can do is complain about it till your friends start to roll their eyes… that’s how I feel about Yelp and how they filter my reviews.  So instead of complaining yet again, I’m going to pull out this beautiful and so sweet review, and share it with you; Yelp filtered it immediately so I doubt anyone got the chance to read it.  You can find it if you go to my Yelp page, and then scroll down to filtered reviews and write up their two weird words (though why they care if a bot wants to read the filtered reviews… ) and then you can see it and others like it.

It's been over a month since my reading with Liat and her words still resonate with me. I'm going through a very difficult time at the moment (as I was then) and so much of what she saw in the cards is happening now. I was fortunate enough to have taken a voice recorder so I often go back and listen to the reading.

She's really a great person to listen to and her positive energy and spirit are so magnetic to the point where you think, "why couldn't she have been a relative of mine. What an amazing person to have in your life."

Overall, my experience was very positive. I went in seeking advice, and that's what she gave. Of course, I didn't get the answers that I wanted and that I was hoping to hear but that's just the way life is and you take it as it is.

I haven't been to any other tarot readers before so I'm not sure how the experience would be with anyone else but I know that she was great.

She really understands the cards! Oh and my reading was definitely accurate!

She can go off on a tangent when she's trying to explain something to you but she means well. I'd definitely go see her again!

Disasters and Intuition

I’m so saddened by the appalling shootings in Colorado last week. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those harmed...   

There was one detail I couldn’t get out of my mind.  Jessica Ghawi who kept a blog under the name Jessica Redfield, was one of the people who were senselessly murdered at that movie theatre.  But she had been in a similar situation this very year.  In June 2012 she had been a tourist in Canada, at the Eaton Centre and had left the food court at 6.20, driven out by a strong feeling of doom and discomfort.  The shootings there started at 6.23.

I remember years ago reading about the terrible fire at Kings Cross station in London and one survivor saying that people who turned right lived, and those who turned left died and how random that was and he didn’t know why he had known to turn the correct way, but he had.

All I can take from these terrible stories is that if your intuition tells you something – listen to it!  Your brain takes in 10,000 pieces of information and filters it to let you know the 100 or so that are important.  But the other 9,900 pieces are lurking somewhere and while we don’t have conscious awareness of them, our unconscious can still be dealing with that material.  So our intuition is often the real data that we have filtered out, still giving us information.  It’s rarely a matter of life or death, but our intuition, our gut feelings, the things we know without consciously knowing how or why, they often speak the truth to us…

Away for a week

I will not be around this next week,  we are hopping on a plane and going to London and Amsterdam (particularly excited about Amsterdam,  we used to go there often when we lived in London,  but haven't been for 15 years!)

So email responses will be sporadic but I will definitely be back on line Monday July 23rd.  I am currently taking bookings for late September,  early October.

Fertile Feedback

I’m always happy to get feedback on my readings.  Nearly a year ago I did a reading for a woman who was very anxious about whether she would have a baby,  full of tears and fears.  But the cards saw nothing to worry about, she drew both the Empress and the Star. Acccording to the cards she was fertile and would get what she wished for soon… and recently she emailed me and said she had just had a baby.  Happy news indeed!

Celebrating July 4th

July 4^th is the official start of summer, the outdoor pools are all open, the kids are all on holidays, it’s a day for bbq’s and fireworks…

I was reading through pages of quotes for a July 4^th message – many uplifting, many about liberty and death, quite a few just direct quotes from the declaration on independence.  But the one that caught my eye and which I really found myself agreeing with was this one - There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America.  Bill Clinton

Every nation, family, person has things that are right with them and things that are wrong with them.  To believe that any nation, family, person is all right or all wrong is just too simplistic.  But to believe that what is right about us can fix what is wrong about us… that’s a great belief system!  I believe it is true for America as a nation, and it’s true for individual Americans too…
