Will I have a baby soon?

People have different strengths and weaknesses.  I'm not good at looking at future health issues,   they just don't sing out to me.   Except for fertility.  Because of my own,  long ago but long lasting,  fertility issues,  I'm super sensitive to it. I have received lots of feedback about being accurate.  (I tried for 7 years in the 1990's to have a baby,  and nothing happened.  Only when I gave up on treatment and on the possibility of motherhood, on the 8th year,  did I conceive,  naturally.)

So I'll end the year exploring a new tarot deck,  which feels like a really good way to end things for me,  going to the familiar (tarot) but seeing it with new eyes (a new deck.)  As I've said before,  it's such a joy to read tarot today,  when there are so many fascinating new cards on line,  with people giving new interpretations and new images to engage and enlighten us. 

I put a copy of this World card in my last blog piece, and then realized I didn't know that deck,  so went exploring.  The card comes for the So Below Tarot deck,  a deck that explores the tarot with more mundane,  common experiences.  

I really loved their Death Card,  which shows something that can be positive or negative - selling a house, but either way is a huge change. Everything is different,  we have to find a new place for every single thing in our lives. Even a positive move can have overtones of loss.  But it also didn't have the chilling imagery of death,  which can often scare people so much that they can't read it properly. So I really liked that.

What does success look like

Did a tarot reading for a woman recently who asked me with tears in her eyes 'what does success look like?'  It's such a personal question.  Success can be anything,  depending on where you are coming from.  But many people read their success from the opinions of others - family and friends,  but also strangers.  Why are we giving people such power in lives?  People we may never meet,  people we actually don't like,  and somehow their opinion colors us. 

There's a wonderful card in the Tarot - the last card of the Major Arcana,  called the World Card.

When you draw it,  I say that you are not the center of the world, but the center of your own world,  you are comfortable in your own skin,  you feel you are in the right place at the right time. 

The world card,  that's what success looks like!
