Four of Cups

Cards often come in waves,  and in decks across the world,  in my readings, the same card is being drawn more often.  This is a four of cups season for my clients.

Four of cups is a sense of not enoughness.   I have 3 cups before me,  but they are not the cups I'm dreaming of.  That fourth one,  out of reach,  in my head, maybe never ever real,  that's the one that has my focus/energy.

And isn't that the world today! The world of instagram and our friends endless holidays (someone is always in Italy and it's not me!) fabulous meals,  marvelous nights out...  It's easy to get dissatisfied with the 3 cups before you,  and yearn for that one out of reach.

But the three of cups is an amazing card,  of strong friendship and connection.

So if you are drifting into the four of cups,  I would encourage you to let go of that one mysterious missing cup and focus on the three cups that are actually there.  Drink your fill from them,  value what you have that's real,  and let the chimeras go... 

Saying of the week

I love this saying and use it often:

If you want to go fast,  go alone.  If you want to go far,  go together

It is so much easier and faster to do things by yourself.  But if you always doing things by yourself,  it can get exhausting and lonely.  We can do it for a bit,  but I certainly couldn't do it for long.

To get far,  you need some support,  you need people on the journey with you.  So find your tribe,  and get going!

Three of Cups

This is such a lovely, joyous card showing three women, sisters, graces, dancing together. It’s about friendship and sisterhood, celebration and abundance. After the intensity of the two of cups, we branch out to friendship and family and find joy and community. It has the theme or union or reunion, meeting up with those we love and celebrating.

The inner child captures the playfulness of the card; it’s a card about movement and being happy in your body as well as in your spirit. The mermaids are also working harmoniously together – if you get this card in a work setting, it means that the project will go well.

I particularly like this version, because it gives the card some male energy too; men talking and toasting some triumph, strengthening the bonds of their friendship.
