Virtual Readings

I lived in Tribeca for 14 years.  I started Tribeca Tarot Reader in 2008 and this blog in 2009.  When we returned to Sydney 3 years ago,  I switched to virtual readings.  I would skype or facetime you and read for you that way.  But because of the way I read,  I find the magic is in the shuffling - you have to handle the cards,  you have to move and select them,  your energy shifting them one way or the other.  

So most of my readings are for established clients who know the way I work,  and are willing to buy or borrow a deck and shuffle and do the layout for me,  and then we do the reading,  in the quiet and privacy of where you chose. 

It's actually worked out very well,  and my regulars,  who have readings once or twice a year,  or once every two years or so,  find me,  buy a deck - usually the Rider Waite,  but any deck with 78 cards will do,  and have a reading.  And continue being my regulars.

If you are looking for me in these uncertain times,  I'm happy to do a reading for you.  Just get your hands on a deck and we'll find a time and start.  And you don't have to have read with me before - just browse though the blog and you'll get a feel for how I read. 

Also,  to simplify matters,  I start all my readings with a cold reading - where I don't know what's going on in your life,  and just tell you what the cards tell me - in the shape of a Celtic Cross.  I find it helpful to remind people of what that looks like -

Absorbed by Light

I read this article the other day - about phone addiction and it's something I've been struggling with myself - I found myself getting headaches at the end of the day,  and realizing that a day without my phone games and voila,  the headaches are gone!  So my pastime is now causing me pain,  quitting should be easy,  right?  Well, not so much.  That's why this resonated with me.  

One of the reasons I love tarot is that it is a dedicated hour with no interruptions.  You have a conversation about yourself and what matters to you,  and it's focused and clear and all yours. 

I am now living in Sydney,  Australia.  I've been giving readings to all my regulars via FaceTime or Skype.  It's worked very well.    My tarot readings are dense - we cover a lot of information and get to clarity.  If you are considering having a reading,  drop me a line and we'll sort out a time,  you can have the reading from the privacy of your own space.

In the near future I will be spending a lot more time in Sydney, Australia.  But I can still do readings for you,  where ever you are! 

We can read via skype or facetime.  But I need you to shuffle the cards,  that's where the magic lives.   You can use any deck you want (as long as it is a proper tarot deck with 78 cards.) If you are buying one specifically for our reading I recommend the Rider Waite Radiant.  

Once you have a deck, just email me - tribecatarotreader@gmail.com or text me (but no phone calls,  sorry) on 646-241-8244 and we'll set up a time and then the reading can happen in the privacy of your own home - or office,  or where ever you would like!

My readings are usually $120 for an hour or $70 for half an hour.  If you are buying a deck to read with me,  I'll pay for the deck and our first virtual reading will be $100.
