Useful feedback

Sometimes we are going about our lives and one of friends says something to us,  about how we are managing ourselves,  and it's not complimentary!   Often that doesn't feel nice at all.  People come to me and ask if they should stop being friends with this type of person.

My question is,  was the information useful?  Did it show things in a new light?

Sometimes we don't see our situation as clearly as an outsider might.  Sometimes our friends are looking out for us.  Of course it could be that some of our friends are awful people and we should find new ones - but if we're not in middle school,  I hope that's not the case!

So maybe this friend was clumsy,  and maybe they are just more conservative/ less conservative,  more adventurous / less adventurous than we are. So we can look at the information and factor that in too.  But I look at things through several lenses - were they saying this to be helpful?  Do they believe it?  Have others said something like it?  Are they kind friends?  I always look to see if the feedback could be useful to me.  It might just show a new perspective on things,  it might be really helpful.

Hearing from Lurkers

Recently I’ve had a few emails that start with ‘I’ve been reading you for years and I’ve just now contacted you…’
Firstly, I’m really thrilled that people have been reading this blog for years.  I put a lot of love and attention in it and am so pleased that people are returning to read it again and again.

Secondly, there is no need to lurk.   If you read and have some thoughts, you can put them in the comments or write to me directly.

And finally – readings are not scary things!  Of course sometimes we hear things we don’t want to – one client recently said it was like looking in the mirror, and seeing things clearly.  There’s no hiding in the reading. But it’s not frightening or intimidating.  It’s a way of seeing where you are putting your energy right now, seeing what is blocked and what is flowing, and what you need to do to change or ensure that things keep going the way you want…

I’ve just opened some new time slots – I am now doing readings at 10 am two mornings a week, so my wait time has shortened and I’m seeing people in about 6 weeks – so drop me a line and we can meet in November.
Enjoy the coming fall and I look forward to hearing from other ‘lurkers’.

Fertile Feedback

I’m always happy to get feedback on my readings.  Nearly a year ago I did a reading for a woman who was very anxious about whether she would have a baby,  full of tears and fears.  But the cards saw nothing to worry about, she drew both the Empress and the Star. Acccording to the cards she was fertile and would get what she wished for soon… and recently she emailed me and said she had just had a baby.  Happy news indeed!

Having struggled with fertility issues myself, I find that I’m very in tune with that issue and I’m comfortable discussing and sorting out what the cards are trying to say.
